Issa has an extraordinary musical career in the making. If you have not heard of ISSA the musician, were going to highlight the musician, producer, model, and recent college graduate from Portland State University. He is taking control of the PDX music market, but first let’s get to know ISSA the person: He was born in Senegal, West Africa, home of some of the most talented musicians and artists around the world. ISSA is an upcoming producer, singer, songwriter, model and performer. Also known as IDoubleS from his early music days, ISSA is also a student who finished his business degree in marketing. His goal is to make a long term impact in the music industry by being more than just an artist. His sound is the one of an international Pop/R&B/Raggae artist whose voice ranges between Timberland, Usher and R Kelly who are some of his biggest influences.

For ISSA the art of production is simply a part of the act of making music. He produces for his own music, ISSA’s producing skills are very defined and diverse. In fact, he finds inspiration in every sound (from pure noise to pure music) and has grown up in a unique environment that blended American music with Caribbean, European and African rhythms. He looks up to Super-Producers like Timberland, Polow Da Don, Scott Storch, The Neptunes and Dr Dre and mixes his own style with the techniques he learned from listening to their hits.

ISSA enjoys performing. It is where he finds his comfort zone. His performances are usually full of energy, crossing over between a rapper and singer type of stage presence along with a few dance moves on “head-nodding” beats he produces. He has graced international stages, radios and TV stations and we can assure you that this is just the beginning of a long success story from a young Senegalese boy whose destiny is as great as his ambition and drive for success.

JUNE 2009
ISSA’s song “WARM ME UP” was selected in the OST from WHO… A webepisode created by Michael Ajakwe Jr., EMMY and NAACP Winner. Check out the website listen-ajakwe-tv

MAY 2009
ISSA was selected by Boomdizzle, an online community designed for aspiring artists to record, share, and remix original music. The panel composed by LL Cool J, DJ Cut Creator, Marley Marl, and Violator Management chose ISSA as one of the Finalist to sign a Major Record Deal & Perform with Superstar LL Cool J!

APRIL 2009
Just 4 The Records just announced the release date of ISSA brand new single called Won’t B Da Same on May 25th, 2009.

JANUARY 2009
ISSA produced a track for the NBA Player Thabo Sefolosha playing in the Chicago Bulls.
