Basics of Beauty: Speak Easy Lingerie-Keith Weldon

Speak Easy Lingerie was started in April of 2009 by Keith Weldon. After years in the entertainment industry as a club manager and a high scale party and event planner, Weldon decided to branch off and apply his expertise of high class elegance into the fashion industry. With a perception of lingerie being a forbidden and secretive indulgence, Weldon’s aim was to create a lingerie line that can make women of all sizes and nationalities feel beautiful and confident about themselves.

“Lingerie can be a healing process because so many women are conscious about their bodies and size,” said Weldon. “I think putting on lingerie can be something nice you do for yourself, like making a cup of tea, or picking up a good book. No matter what size you are you can look lovely and feel good.”

Weldon is in the process of planning his second runway show that features models of all sizes, nationalities and styles. The showcase has a Batman “Gotham City” theme and is scheduled for February 27, 2010. He will be holding several casting calls between now and then that are open to women of any height and weight.
