Jan. 7th: FASHION, FOOD, AND BRIGHT NEW IDEAS FOR BRIDES OF 2010

Portland, OR – Jasmine Photography and team announce the much anticipated Art of Weddings for 2010. Filled with sought after vendors, photographers, designers, and caterers, The Art of Weddings is an edgy version of a tradeshow, but encompasses what guests can truly enjoy by promoting a laid back, comfortable setting. The event will be held at Portland Center Stage at the Armory; January 7, 2010 from 6 to 9 PM.

Art of Weddings is a new highlight for wedding tradeshow guests as its originator, Alexis Achten of art-of-weddings1 Jasmine Photography, works to bring a special kind of group together. “The event is intimate, and the people who are involved are some of the best at what they do,” she states. “I want people to be comfortable and have fun, but also walk away with new, creative ideas for how they can make their wedding as special as they want it to be.”

Created 5 years ago by Achten, Art of Weddings has evolved into a one of a kind showcase of Portland’s best and more creative special event talent. “While shooting,” she states, “I got to see how vendors really are and wanted to create a unique event that showcased the ones who not only love what they do, but are professional about it as well.”

Specializing the focus on the celebration of a newly engaged couple, Art of Weddings works to provide guests with an event where they can mingle, find inspiration, and get ideas from the pro’s.

In addition to the specialty vendors, 2010’s line up will include complimentary cocktails by Sake One, Hor’dourves by The Art of Catering and Ten-01, and fashion show featuring bridal designs by Portland’s own Amai Unmei, Sarah Seven, Magnifique Boutique, Duchess menswear and Sophie Bridal Couture (A new designer and graduate from Art Institute who will be opening her own bridal boutique in January.)

Tickets are $10 after registering at www.artofweddingspdx.com, and will be available until Jan 6^th.
